MODEL PEMBERDAYAAN MASYARAKAT BERBASIS KOMODITAS LOKAL: Studi Pelatihan Pengolahan Singkong Menjadi Tepung Tapioka di Kampung Sipias Distrik Eligobel

Community empowerment based on the utilization of local commodities is a strategic approach to improving economic welfare in rural areas. Sipias Village possesses abundant cassava resources; however, its use remains limited to household consumption and raw sales with low economic value. This community service activity aims to enhance the community’s skills in processing cassava into tapioca flour through training, mentoring, and the application of appropriate technology. The method employed was a participatory approach involving field observation, production process demonstrations, and joint evaluations. The results indicate a significant increase in the community’s knowledge and skills, the emergence of initiatives to form small home-based enterprises, and the adoption of a simple pressing tool that effectively improves production efficiency. This program demonstrates a model of community empowerment based on local commodities that can enhance the added value of agricultural products and strengthen household economic resilience in Sipias Village.
