Membangun Merauke Sebagai Istana Damai Dengan Upaya Pencegahan Tindakan Terorisme

Merauke Regency, as the eastern gateway to the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI), enjoys a strategic position but is vulnerable to the infiltration of radicalism and terrorism. The identified problem is the infiltration of separatist movements and intolerant ideologies into all segments of Merauke society, particularly through religious activities. This community service activity aims to encourage concrete and integrated action from stakeholders in prevention efforts. The implementation method used was data collection and mapping of potential threats, followed by Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) to consolidate synergy involving the Merauke Police, the Merauke Military District Command (Kodim), the Statistics Indonesia (BPS), the National Unity Agency (BKN), the Regional Forum for Community Empowerment (FKUB), and the local Ministry of Religious Affairs, in coordination with the National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT) as the primary partner. The community service results demonstrate a collective commitment and the establishment of a concrete prevention framework at the regional level, marking the realization of synergy to strengthen Merauke as a Palace of Peace, a strong defense against the threat of terrorism.
