Edukasi Pencegahan Penyebaran Covid-19 Pada Anak Usia Dini di TPA AN-NUR
Abstract
The Covid-19 pandemic which spread massively throughout the world in 2020 has had a significant impact on various aspects of people's lives, including early childhood groups. Children aged 0–6 years have limited understanding of health protocols, requiring a specialized and adaptive educational approach. This community service activity aims to provide education on preventing the spread of Covid-19 to early childhood children at the AN-NUR Al-Quran Study Center (TPA) in Merauke Regency. The activity was carried out on July 21, 2021, involving 35 children, 12 parents/guardians and 3 educators. The methods used were interactive lectures, live demonstrations, educational games, and the distribution of visual media (posters and leaflets). The results of the activity showed that children's knowledge of Covid-19 health protocols had improved, going from poor to good through behavioral observations of parents. Furthermore, educators' awareness and capacity to integrate health protocols into teaching and learning activities increased. This activity affirms the importance of collaboration between higher education institutions and TPA in supporting pandemic response efforts at the grassroots level, particularly in remote areas such as Merauke Regency.
