Sosialisasi Strategi Pemberdayaan Masyarakat untuk Pembangunan Berkelanjutan di Kota Merauke
Abstract
This article explores the implementation and effectiveness of community empowerment strategies for sustainable development in Merauke City. The study aims to assess the socialization efforts of these strategies, emphasizing their impact on local communities and sustainable urban development. Through qualitative research methods including interviews and focus group discussions, the perceptions and experiences of stakeholders involved in the socialization process are analyzed. Key findings indicate that while there is general awareness of the strategies among community members, their practical application and integration into daily practices vary. Challenges such as limited resources, institutional support, and community engagement persistently hinder full implementation. However, positive outcomes are noted in terms of increased community participation and knowledge dissemination on sustainable practices. Keywords such as community empowerment, sustainable development, socialization, and urban planning are pivotal in understanding the dynamics of strategy implementation in local contexts. The study concludes with recommendations for enhancing the effectiveness of future socialization efforts, including tailored educational programs, enhanced stakeholder collaboration, and improved resource allocation. Ultimately, fostering sustainable development in urban areas like Merauke requires ongoing commitment to empower communities and integrate sustainable practices into local governance and everyday life.
Keywords: community empowerment, sustainable development, socialization, urban planning
