Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has affected almost all aspects of life, but there are still many people who have not fully utilised technology wisely. Digital literacy is key in improving people's understanding and ability to use technology effectively and safely. This research aims to optimise the use of technology through the socialisation of digital literacy to the community, with the hope of improving welfare through the proper use of technology. The method used in this research is a participatory approach through socialisation, training and interactive discussions. Digital literacy socialisation was conducted by providing materials on safe internet use, understanding of social media, and basic skills in using technology applications that are useful for daily activities. The results of this study showed a significant increase in participants' digital understanding and skills, with the majority of participants claiming to be more confident in using technology for personal and professional needs. In addition, this activity also succeeded in raising awareness about the importance of maintaining personal data security in cyberspace, which is expected to support the improvement of the quality of life and overall welfare of the community.
