This study is a qualitative study that aims to determine the application of the 5C Principle in the distribution of working capital loans at PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia Merauke Branch. The 5C Principle consists of Character, Capacity, Capital, Collateral, and Condition of Economy, which are principles that must be applied by banks to assist in the approval of prospective debtors' credit. The data collection method in this study used unstructured interviews with interview guidelines, where the research subjects were employees of PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia in the Marketing department. The results of this study indicate that PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia has not fully applied the 5C principles, as the results show that PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia only applies the 5C principles limited to Character, Capacity, Capital, and Condition of Economy, while the Collateral principle has not been properly implemented by PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia due to the lack of direct collateral surveys.
